Conference Report
On February 28-29, 2024, the United Goals Association team took part in the organization of the international conference "Psychological techniques that help children - intended for psychosocial workers and parents in Europe". The conference was organized in cooperation with Natalia Pihur and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), with the support of the psychological department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic and under the auspices of the government commissioner for human rights, Kláry Šimáčkové Laurenčíkové. And due to the joint work with the Dům Dobra Foundation.
The two-day event was attended by approximately 100 participants, mostly mental health professionals from the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Israel, Poland, Belgium and Germany. The main goal of the conference was to identify professional opportunities and exchange best practices for supporting the mental health of children, their families, and other vulnerable groups.
The conference emphasized the importance of cooperation between various organizations and specialists in order to strengthen the economic and professional self-sufficiency of Ukrainian specialists in the field of mental health. An important role in this process was played by programs to support Ukrainian refugees, work with children's trauma and ensuring the integration and adaptation of refugees and their families.
